CADE (Davisson-J., 2023)

A personal favorite from its first bloom based on beauty, plant habit, and garden performance. CADE is is a 9 1/2" rich, saturated deep purple unusual form with a lighter purple watermark and a diamond-dusted cream and yellow throat. From a cross of two of my best, CURT'S GIFT X WEBSTER GIRLS, CADE inherited stellar plant habits with 34" scapes that have ideally spaced 5-way branching averaging 28 buds. And it reblooms for a long bloom season starting mid season, going well into the late season. Hardy, hard-dormant foliage is flawless for a picture-perfect display every day. For the hybridizer, CADE is easily fertile both ways and sets pods even when it is hot. Tetraploid.
